That is a bad parent if that little kid has no shame in doing that right next to his dad.
Doesn't stopping his son from an outright show of vulgarity make him a good parent?
And since when can you judge a person's parenting by one incident, either way? You're a max-level Christian, aren't you? What happened to Matthew 7:1? _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
I'm personally opposed to corporal punishment for children. But this display of questionable behavior brings to mind our old friend Ron Artest and the events during the infamous Malice at the Palace ...
If someone's old enough to willfully disrespect a man (throw a diet coke at him, repeatedly and aggressively verbally attack him, give him the double bird, etc.), that someone is old enough to deal with the consequences ...
I cannot say that I would react to such behavior, but I never expect others to follow my lead in that regard. IMO, the child and his father are both lucky that the father didn't slap the ish out of him while on camera. That might have led to some friction with CPS. And both of them are luckier still that LeBron has far too much to lose to engage further. Nothing good would stem from LeBron entering the stands to have a word or two with both of them.
