Going for the sweep tomorrow with Latos on the mound.

Yeah, trading Kemp for Grandal looks to be one of the best moves of the year in MLB.

We still have Joe Wieland in the minors as well, while the Padres just DFA'd Fed-Ex.

When it comes to Grandal & Rollins, I know they're switch hitters, but both of them are so much better as lefties, I don't know if I see the benefit of sending them out their right handed, even if the pitcher is a lefty.

Hopefully we can get that sweep tonight, looking forward to seeing Latos out there for the first time.

Mattingly is an incomprehensible moron - How hard is it to let JP finish the inning? He was doing FINE.

Mattingly did not botch a double play and Mattingly did not throw a fastball up over the heart of the plate.

The first half could be true if we ended up with 2014 Jim Johnson, which I hope we didn't.

Good win today but our bull pen needs to get better. Giants lost so the division lead is now 2.5 games. 6 game road trip starts Tues at Philly and Pittsburgh.

He almost botched yesterdays game also when he took Kershaw who had just cruised through an easy 8th inning out of the game and brought in an obviously tired Jansen.

The team wins despite Mattingly, a good manager would put this group over the top....

I've said this many times but Mattingly's greatest asset is managing egos. I figured with Knight's book out now, people would cut him some slack. Any other manager and guys might kill each other. I also think his in-game work isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

During the game, Vin went over the Giants' schedule this month. It was brutal. They face all the top clubs and not many losing records. If we can't extend this lead by September, something is wrong.

Latos should have gotten to pitch 1 more inning, he only threw 80 pitches in 6 innings. Nearly bit us in the butt today. Tuesday we play Philly and get to see Alex Woods. I thought when the 10th inning started, we were going to lose for sure.

Kershaw was at 115 pitches...

Donnie or not, Dodgers do not solve this disgusting bullpen, Dodgers will choke again in the playoffs. This is one of the worst stretches for a bullpen I have ever seen. It's been 7 years of (bleep). They have to find a 7-8 pitcher or pitchers of they are done. And Jansen isn't helping either now.

Just when we'd all Forgot About Dre, there he is with 2 big HRs!

Gonna be a tough August for the Giants, we need to take advantage of that.

Yeah it's troublesome that of all the likely NL playoff teams, the Dodgers have the worst bullpen.

I'd call Grandal's .378 BA and .452 OBP batting right-handed a benefit. He just happens to hit all his homeruns left-handed.
