This team needs a fresh start. Not only is Bynum and his knees done but he's immature and would bring nothing to this team. |

I was a huge Bynum supporter, but has anyone even heard that Bynum is even in shape? Or that he's actually capable of playing basketball anymore?
Usually, when players want to make a comeback, you hear stories of them hitting the gym, demonstrating a willingness to start at the bottom, etc…I've heard nothing about Bynum. |

How about Stanley Roberts? He use to be a beast against Shaq. His ankles should be healed by now and with them injuries his basketball miles are fairly low. Him and Bynum can be our twin towers and we'll call plays for them since they have better moves than Hibbert. This is a good move because we need more veterans and Upshaw can develop elsewhere, we'll just bring him back later when he's an all-star since the cap will always get bigger. And why go through his growing pains right? Plus we'll just waive all the players we don't want that have guaranteed money because we're rich from that TimeWarner deal. Yeah so cool idea bro. |

Bynum? To go bowling with Lou Williams? The team is not strong enough to handle him in the locker room. |

Bynum's days are over. I'd like to see us back-up Hibbert with Black and even play a little small ball with Brandon Bass holding down the 5. Let Upshaw sit and learn. |

Don't let Roy Hibbert see or hear any mention of Andrew Bynum, the Pacers signing of Bynum 2 seasons ago was seen as the reason Roy's play went downhill rapidly after the Pacers had the NBA's best record at the All Star game in the 2013-14 season.
Roy's confidence is very fragile and he felt as an All Star himself that season the signing of Bynum was a slap in his face. This was shown very clearly on the court when in his first minute on the court Bynum sealed off his defender received a pass and slammed it, something Hibbert had been critizied for not doing himself.
In around 16 minutes Bynum had 10 points and 8 rebounds and the media here raved that Bynum had shown Roy what a true NBA BIG man should do. Roy felt the media had turned on him, but as we all know Bynum's knees immediately stopped Andrew from playing after only 2 games. But those 36 minutes , 23 points and 19 points Andrew produced had destroyed Roy's confidence and he was never really the same player again as a Pacer.
Roy's days in Indy were numbered by the after effects from that date forward. Roy and Lance both started trying to prove they were stars on the same level as Paul George and David West and the team fell apart.
Last season at the beginning of the season Roy was the only starter from that team playing with Stephenson a Hornet and PG, West and George Hill injured, he was the only one that even played in the first 15 games. Roy struggled trying to anchor the defense and try to score also; and his play and confidence struggled under that weight.
By the end of the season Roy's days in Indy were numbered. I find it oddly ironic Roy was given Bynum's uniform number 17. For Laker fans and Roy's sake the less Bynum is mentioned the better. |

If he said that then Drew wants more free cash for doing nothing. He's done. |

I hope the Metta thing blows over and we don't sign him.

Unfortunately we might sign him. He has been in the gym with the team for most of the summer. Been working against Randle. I think if anything the Lakers want him to develop Metta's toughness (minus the crazy) _________________ New Beginings |

I guess there are worse things to spend the vet min on.
And I'm sure Kobe will enjoy having him around too. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

We already have Hibbert, Black, and Upshaw.
We don't need Bynum and his injury prone legs. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Bynum ?
He peed his bed here and he screwed up at both stops since. He's history as far as this club's concerned. That's a good thing, considering that our Lakers have moved on to another man-child project with Upshaw.
One problem kid at a time please, one at a time. |

There's not a player I'd want at the end of the bench outside of Metta. Maybe Derek Fisher, but I like Metta even better for our current situation. We don't need a cheerleader, Nance will fill that role. We need a battle-tested vet, and at that one that WANTS to be on the team for the sole purpose of restoring the Purple and Gold to glory, that will be an enforcer when needed and not let us get punked the way we did the past few years when the Clippers blew us the f*ck out of Staples like we stole their milk money, that still has some of the best defensive instincts even at his age and will instill that in the youngsters, that can echo Kobe, has Kobe's back, and can get thru to the youngsters even better than Kobe can. His value far exceeds any 12-15th player in the rotation we've had since I can recall. |

He said it last year, or the year before I believe. But Bynum is mentally never going to have what it takes to make a comeback. I know he had major injuries, but a 35 year old Kobe went thru worse and took the time to come back damn close to pre-injury form every time. It's a mindset and he simply doesn't have it. Why do you think we shipped out all the guys on this team that don't have that mindset, why do you think we're bringing in guys like Bass and bringing back Metta. The culture of this team is about to change.
But regarding Bynum-- what and absolute waste of talent. He could have been one of the greats and dominated the league for the past 5 years and to come. |
