Castillo vs Chico Corrales from 2005. One of the best fights last decade. Just crazy.
Word! Thanks, dough. I've been waiting for a replay to come up, so I could have that in my DVR recordings.
Too bad Time Warner doesn't offer Showtime Extreme in HD, just SD. Out of curiosity, I went to see if they had a HD quality recording available on Youtube, and look what I found:
Not sure how long it'll stay up, but it's the full fight. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

It's totally classic Mayorga though. I remember when he was talking ish before fighting De La Hoya and promptly got KTFO. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

If Floyd Mayweather sticks to his plan to make his fight with Andre Berto the final one of his dominant 19-year career, he will bow out with the same referee as he had in his 1996 professional debut.
Kenny Bayless, widely regarded as the best boxing referee in the world, was assigned to work Mayweather's welterweight world title defense against Berto by the Nevada State Athletic Commission at its monthly meeting on Thursday.
Mayweather (48-0, 26 KOs) and former two-time titleholder Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) meet on Sept. 12 (Showtime PPV, 8 p.m. ET) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in what Mayweather says will be the final fight.
Las Vegas' Bayless, who will be paid $10,000, will be refereeing his seventh Mayweather fight, including his third in a row and his fourth in Mayweather's past five bouts. Bayless was in the ring for Mayweather's fight with Manny Pacquiao, the richest in boxing history, on May 2; Mayweather's rematch with Marcos Maidana in September; and his September 2013 showdown with Canelo Alvarez, among others.
On Oct. 11, 1996, Bayless was the referee when Mayweather made his professional debut by knocking out Roberto Apodaca in the second round at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas. Bayless has worked one previous Berto fight: a first-round knockout win against Taronze Washington in 2005.

Assigned to judge Mayweather-Berto were Adalaide Byrd and Dave Moretti, both of Las Vegas, and Steve Weisfeld of New York. Each judge will be paid $8,000.
Moretti will be judging his 11th Mayweather fight, including his fifth in a row. Byrd will be judging a Mayweather fight for the third time. She was a judge for his fights with Victor Ortiz and Shane Mosley. Weisfeld will be judging his first Mayweather fight.
Moretti and Byrd have never judged a Berto fight. Weisfeld has done one: Berto's third pro bout.
The commission also assigned the officials for the two other world title bouts on the card.
Vic Drakulich, who will earn $2,250, will referee the rematch between junior lightweight titlist Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs), of Puerto Rico, and former titlist Orlando Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs), of Mexico. They first met on April 11 in Puerto Rico, and Martinez outpointed Salido to regain his old title in an action-packed fight-of-the-year candidate.
The judges, who will each be paid $1,950 for the bout, will be Burt Clements and Patricia Morse Jarman, both of Las Vegas, and Glenn Feldman of Connecticut.
Robert Byrd, who will be paid $2,250, will be the third man in the ring when super middleweight titlist Badou Jack (19-1-1, 12 KOs), a Sweden native living in Las Vegas and Mayweather protégé, will make the first defense of his belt against mandatory challenger George Groves (21-2, 16 KOs) of England. The judges, who will each earn $1,950, will be Glenn Trowbridge of Las Vegas, John McKaie of New York and Guido Cavalleri of Italy.
If you ever wondered how much judges and refs make, here ya go.
LOL - Mosley/Mayorga isn't a $50 PPV. If the price was in the $20-$25 range and the Santa Cruz/Mares fight wasn't the same night I *might've* considered buying though. Shame to see what Mosley is doing now to sell PPV buys considering he is a guy who was a former 3-division world champion and who, in his prime, was actually ranked #1 pound-for-pound for well over a year...

Yeah, it's pretty sad. Basically, it all translates to his crazy ex-wife, Jin, trying to collect from him. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Thanks for the reminder L_D. I like Santa Cruz in this one. Mares ain't no joke a win is not out of the question. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

IA. Shane seems to genuinely be a nice guy.
I hope he can find a way to renegotiate the $20,000 oer month support. There's no way he can make the payments for another 15 18 years.
Which may explain why, after having reigned as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and participating in numerous pay-per-view and premium channel cards, he’s broke and living in the basement of his ex-wife Jin. At least so say promotional materials for a new reality dating show and plenty of reports from people who’ve seen episodes.
To add to the steep descent of Mosley’s fall, he’s not even a key player on the reality program Friends to Lovers, just a bit player living in the cellar while his ex-wife and another guy are a featured couple.
What's the real truth?

If there were some knockdowns, Santa Cruz vs. Mares could be considered for another FOTY candidate, although I still take Provodnikov vs. Matthysse.
As for Shane vs. Mayorga II...Only way I would've considered paying for that PPV was if it were $5...LOL. In any event, the youtube clips were enough for me to see how much Mayorga needs to go back into retirement and Shane needs to hang them up and get out of the delusions that he could compete with the young cats, simply due to how well he was doing in sparring. Shane may think that his speed against Mayorga is enough to beat some of the young guns in the sport currently, but not the top guys. And I still see Floyd and Manny wiping the floor with him. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

The crowd was unbelievable and the fight itself did not disappoint!
I had it 116-112 for Santa Cruz, but I had a few close rounds where I gave santa cruz the nod.
I hope they have a rematch.. I thought abner came out well, but his pressure eventually faded.. maybe would of had a lot more success if he jabbed more.

I had the same, watching on TV. I didn't have any rounds that I felt could really go either way. What impressed me the most was that Leo actually out boxed Mares. Not sure how there was a 114-114 score.
If Mares tried to mix up his gameplan more, between slugging it out and boxing, I think he would've had a better chance. Neither Mares nor Santa Cruz have ever shown to have "1 punch" ko power, but there were times that I thought the accumulation of punches would wear on Abner.
I think a rematch would be entertaining for sure. Although, it'll never happen, I'd love to see Santa Cruz vs. either Nicolas Walters or Lomachenko! _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Although, it hasn't been "officially" announced by Top Rank. I could see him doing the same thing he did at 122 before, and then getting a rematch with Rigondeaux (if any of the networks actually want to buy it, considering they all have bad tastes in their mouths about Rigondeaux style). _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Uh, did anybody have it going the other way, in the McDonnell vs. Kameda rematch? I had same score as unofficial scorer on PBC, some different rounds, but overall same. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...
