Spain vs France. Tight the entire game. So so so so so good. The Eurobasket is both holding me together while waiting for the NBA season and making me all the more excited for the start of the NBA season. |

Pau with half of Spain's total. Still has it apparently. |

If you watched Pau's skillset, he never lost it. He was used horribly at times, and he sulked because he didn't like the head coach he was playing for and was never the same after the trade veto. Physically there is clearly a decline in speed and "hop", but he's also a lot physically stronger than when he was younger. He's lost the speed, but gained in smarts and power. |

Too bad Potato Head and Dumbtoni could not figure out how to use a two-time champion and All-Star. Shows the smarts of PJ and Thibs in coaching their teams to take advantage of their players' talents and skills. _________________ Ahhhh, those were the days...time for a new beginning! |

Just said by me
I like International play and on France in particular half those folks are in the NBA. It really felt like an NBA game. It was a hella fun watch. |

I think it's been a while since Tony Parker, Pau, Boris Diaw, etc. have played in a rec league game |

He pushed team USA's bigs to the limit during the gold medal game in 2012.
Since Kobe probably won't be playing in next year's Olympics, I might root for Pau and Spain |

I know I'm just being a dick. I just can't stand the international game - seems boring and predictable. Then again, I hate the modern NBA too. (bleep) maybe I'm watching the wrong sport. Heard some good things about curling. |

He's reffed differently with international ball. Tends to get deeper position. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Lol. I feel your pain.
I'm watching my DVR of today's game (Serbia vs Lithuania) and it's cool but nothing like yesterday's NBA Playoffs game lol. |

He plays exceptional defense in international play. Led the tourney with blocks per game. Pau. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Pau. The last Laker allstar not named Kobe. The last, dominant Laker big.
Who knows when we'll get a big comparable to Pau's talent again.
He is sorely missed.
Something I haven't heard mentioned, Pau dominated despite defensive golden-child Rudy Gobert guarding him. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Euroleague is the 2nd best league in the world behind the NBA....of course its a far 2nd from the NBA considering even these days with the NBA's ticky tack fouls its still far more physical than any of the basketball being played in Europe. |

yup, completely agree. Pau gets bullied and stood up for post position in the NBA. And gets pushed even on his shot attempts in the post, which turn into flailing shots. isn't a consistent dependable threat to make those. |

Gobert has limited footwork right now. Pau schooled him repeatedly, so much so he had to go cry on Twitter. But he's hella talented so it'll be fun to watch Gobert develop. |
