He's seeking a buyout so he can get playing time. He won't get it here. |
I thought we were looking for a PF? If he is anywhere near the glimpses he showed this summer, he may get a lot of playing time |
Bass is going to start. Randle will play a good size of backup minutes. There's most of your PF minutes. After that you have Holmes, Nance, and Kelly. |

Why not both? Metta as a player coach, Bennett as a player. Doubt we go after Bennett, we have no space for him at the 4. |

If that report is accurate, I would love for the Lakers to sign G.Wallace to a short term deal, bring him into training camp, and see what he has left in the tank.
Wallace is a proven defender, and hard nosed player, who doesn't need the offense run through him to get his points on the offensive end. A quality hustle role player.
I like Metta, but at this point in his career, I would prefer Wallace, unless proven wrong. Only thing about Gerald, that I would question, is his health/durability. Tends to get injured a lot, because of his "reckless play" at times.

Didn't called you dumb though. Called your response dumb, which it was. Not wanting Metta as a player development coach is just dumb. He can help Randle in a lot of ways, if you can't see that then so be it. |

You knew this was inevitable: A source tells me a Western Conference team has had internal talks about possibly signing Larry Sanders. |

We have one project already in Upshaw, we don't need two. I doubt this Sanders rumor has much truth to it. |

Don't think we have the resources to pay him. He's probably going to Dallas. He can be their new DeAndre Jordan. |

Wish we made a push to trade for KJ Mcdaniels when on the 76ers or made a RFA offer for him on the Rockets. Nice young wing player. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I think at 3m a year he will vastly outplay that deal. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Fun fact: Bennett was the reason DLO wasn't a threepeat HS national champion. He basically looked the same physically in high school as he did on that preseason game against us recently. |

Sanders isn't really a project. he's already an established defensive force. He'd also likely be had at the minimum and would give us the best C rotation int he NBA right now with still a lot of room for growth.
Hibbert/Sanders/Upshaw
Personally, I think Black is a very capable NBA backup big and I hope we don't forget that...
BUT if you can sign someone liek Sanders and only ask him for 12-20 good minutes, you do it. |

Amir Johnson might have been another interesting consideration. He's running the PNR like a beast right now and providing defense/rebounding. He's also a LA kid but is now...gasp, the Celtics. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
