All I know is that I'm happy we have Ryan West and now Luke Walton in the fold to make these kinds of determinations. I feel like whoever we end up with after this summer will be able to play effectively in Luke's sets. |

So, at #32, what are the best options, is there a consensus? |

I think the consensus is there will be some pretty decent players to choose from. It just depends on whether the Lakers want to draft based on need or best player available. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Jamal Murray's ranked high because he can shoot the snot out of the ball. He's nothing special defensively, but he has more athleticism than you think--18 dunks for a guard is a pretty good number. One reason I've kept Hield in my top ten is that he has the 4th highest at-rim athleticism among guard prospects this season. Dude gets to the rim and dunks a fair share. I agree, these guys are normally too unidimensional for my taste, but the league is trending towards long-bombing guards with reasonable athleticism, and both have that.
Brannen has signed with an agent. I agree, what he does is sort of Vezenkov-ish. Both this season have what look polished offensive games, although Brannen just suddenly put everything together there. And both are zero-athlete non-defenders as well. |

I would definitely trade the #1/#32/JC pick for him, maybe Phil helps us out since hes eventually coming to LA.. after Jim/Mitch get canned |

I agree with Hield. At least I can trust him to shoot under various situations, nearly equally as effecitve across the board. |
if we get Hield I'd assume Harrison Barnes in RFA while Golden State chases Durant and Whiteside in Free Agency will be the primaries.
I'd also feel that Clarkson would b turned into the bench 1 Shaun Livingston primary attack score bench 1 role.
So then
D'Angelo Russell
Buddy Hield
Harrison Barnes
Julius Randle
Hassan Whiteside
Bench:
Jordan Clarkson
Lou Williams
Nick Young (who should be revitalized back in this system again)
Larry Nance Jr.
Tarik Black
There's our main 10 I'd assume. How do you see that doing in GSW's system?

I like that line-up, would still prefer a vet SF coming in somewhere along the line.
I don't mind going with Whiteside, he's going to put up numbers and provide a good base for our other young players to work around on D. I think there will always be teams willing to trade for him if things don't work out and he gives us a physical presence to go up against the bigs of the Spurs and Clippers.
Still, I'd prefer Horford, but I'm not sure if it's the right move for him. I see Houston, Indiana or Miami being more likely (assuming other moves allow it). _________________ "I got Wheaties!"

The knock on Porzingis was his build, and so far, that is a valid concern. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't think Brannen Greene gets drafted at all. Maybe we can sign him to our summer league team if the FO wants a look at him. He can shoot, but can't really do much else and he has maturity problems.
As for pick 32 there is no consensus, its all over the place. It depends on if we get the top 3 pick and who we take, and who is available. |

How does a freshman Ingram compare to a sophomore Otto Porter at Georgetown? |

bonkers wrote: | How does a freshman Ingram compare to a sophomore Otto Porter at Georgetown? | It's not close Ingram was a much better prospect. Porter couldn't shoot 3's or consistently beat players off the dribble like Ingram can. Porter was always good defensively but they don't play alike. |

JC/#32 are not worth anything, you acting like I'm including Randle/Dlo.. that would be too much, but I would trade the #1 pick for Porky and so would the Lakers FO I'm sure. |

Deal sweetener. But its all hypothetical since the Knicks would refuse the trade. |

I doubt it. I would bet they believe Simmons and Ingram are better prospects as they should. |

I remember reading a lot of Lakers fans would go for Jaylen Brown if the Lakers get the third pick, has that view changed now? I'm not seeing Jaylen Brown's name mentioned as much as it was a few weeks ago. _________________ Coach MWP. |
