Can't watch now, did he mention anything about playing defense next season?
I am not hating, I like JC a lot, I am just perplexed by his lack of defense given his tools and generally good work ethic. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss
-New system fits us really well, especially the young guys.
-Very excited when Luke got hired. Just waiting for GSW to be done so he can join the team
-Going to be weird without Kobe next year. Jokes team might get a cutout of him to travel with and keep in the locker room.
-Thinks they should retire Kobe's locker, keep his jersey and shoes in there
-Asked about #2, says he's just focusing on his work.
-Asked about social media trolls slamming him for posting instead of being in the gym. Laughs it off saying it took him 2 seconds to post a tweet and he's in the gym 5 hours a day.
-Last year was tough being Kobe's last year. Not fun losing. Just had to learn to grow as a young core and keep working.
-Re: DLo and Nick: Can't judge Russell because he made a mistake. They all hang out. He's close to Nick too. It was crazy but hopefully they both got through it.
-Can't make a Finals prediction.
-The West is tough, they all beat up on each other. Utah was demoralized that last game because they didn't get the 8th spot. _________________ 14-5-3-12
:We're going to do a dunk contest with you and Swaggy P, is that okay?
JC: Hell yeah.
:We're going to get some stuff for you to wear, is that okay?
JC: Hell yeah.
:It's going to be Clippers jerseys.
JC:Hell nah.

:Nick Young says he's going to be wearing a Matt Barnes jersey.
JC:Nick trippin' right now. _________________ I was an atheist, until I knew Kobe.

Wish I woulda just read the guy's recap two posts later, because listening to the interview was just annoying. JC couldn't even answer a question without one of the other 3 idiots jumping in.

Nick Van Exel on the young core.
Damn, I wish NVE could've been a part of that three-peat team. My favorite player from the 90s Lake Show era. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

His assessment of JC was fairly on point, but his assessment of d'angelo was pretty off, like it was based on summer league. D'angelo gets to the spots he wants on ball or off ball, with or without pick and roll. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.

Yup, and DLO played a lot of offball in college. I would think that's where a slower player can excel if they shoot well but are slow.
I feel like he is underestimating DLO. To me he has the most star potential from our young core. And yeah he does not have light speed but he is smooth and crafty and can get passed defenders. I also really like him off ball because of his ability to shoot. _________________
