no, only because he play 8vs 5 every single game of his life.

If you discount that, it's barely top 15

I don't know if this puts him top 3, 5 or wherever but it cements he was worth the hype and could lead his team to a ring. Lots of talk over the years that he had to jump on Wades team to get it done but he did it here as the man and played the Jordan role. Scary part is he still may win a ring or two, and with his resume his career will rack up right there with MJ and Magic and Kobe.

Kobe is not top 5. Not even close. The only people that think that are Laker/Kobe fans. No need to be salty over the fact that LBJ put up incredible stats(again) in the finals, finals MVP(again) came back from a 3-1 deficit against a 73 win team and brought a championship to a city that hasn't won one in over 35 years AND the guy is still only 31.

I really hate that one game can make such a difference. He would be getting creamed if they lost tonight.

He was up with the all time greats regardless.

Isiah said it best. He's in the room with the greats.

Probably have him around five or six and dude has three really solid years left. He will coast during the regular season and Lue will monitor his minutes.

You're an idiot. Kobe is absolutely top five. Has nothing to do with being a Lakers fan. It's called being someone who has a brain which you obviously don't. 20 years of work. 15 incredible years. 5 championships. 2 Finals MVP's. If it wasn't for that Achilles injury he would still be playing at an elite level.

Absolutely has to do with being a Laker fan. Go over to any non-Laker forum and see if you see anyone calling him a top 5 player of all time. The only place you see that is here. BTW averaged 30/11/9/2/2 in this finals, also 6 straight NBA finals.

I guess stating an opinion backed with facts is considered trolling? Just because you don't like someone opinion does not make them a troll.

Maybe wait til his career is done before ranking him. Might be jumping the gun here.

I'd take LeBron before Bird or Russell.

I'm not sure about top 5 because I don't know who I'd knock off, but I think he put himself in the convo of best since Jordan, along with Duncan.

Probably not. But he exploited the weak east and didn't squander the opportunity this year. That commands respect.
