dang is u a laker fna or not. i know they suck but come on. |
I watched all but 2 or 3 games this season, but this is going to get really frustrating really fast and it's not hard to see. Irving/Love/Lebron all coming back from rest while DLO is out and our team is on the second night of a back to back. Not only that, they haven't even had 24 hours rest. It's (bleep) in my opinion, but that's life. Injuries happen, (bleep) schedules happen. |

didnt think it would be an embiid thing |
Not sure if we got the full details on it. I'm sure he'll be playing b2b's soon. You have to keep in mind he came back a little bit earlier than schedule from a procedure that takes longer to recover from than Nick's injury. Playing it safe is for the best, even if it's a bummer to watch. _________________ Austin Reaves

if he is not 100% why play him at all? how it's going to get better with playing? we have 4 months of season left and the schedule isn't going to be different.. still 3-4 games per week
if he can't play then sit him. plain and simple.
i would bet that he is going to need surgery in offseason |

Why be precautionary if he's 100% and if he's not 100% then the staff really isn't doing a good job at being "precautionary" because there is no reason to bring him back when he's not 100%. |

the people are gonna make a lot of dough if they bet on the Lakers winning this game without Russ.
Good time to make some cash and beat the odds.

. Precautionary just means they're easing him back into it. They don't want to re-injure something by playing him too much too soon. |

Yeah it's less "he's still injured" and more of them not wanting to overdo stress on his knee that is still getting used to performing at this high of a level consistently _________________ Austin Reaves

but in that case, wouldn't a minutes restriction be more useful? |

I see what you're saying, but resting on a back to back is pretty much a minutes restriction. |

I can't remember them ever having to play LeBron on the back end of a back to back. The schedulers were always very good about putting those games on the front end so they always had a day of rest coming in. I guess this is what happens when Lakers vs LeBron isn't a national TV game anymore. |

Playing on a minutes restriction is precautionary, too. If he's 100%, why restrict his minutes at all? You just refuted your own argument. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Does anyone have an example of 20/21 year old player having knee problems that ended with that player becoming an allstar? |
