ESPN has a story/opinion if Ingram has more potential as a future all star or a more valuable trade piece for top 3 pick in next draft?
WHAT? A NO brainer, while he has struggled with his shot, he certainly has showed ability to do everything! Defend, rebound, pass, etc. How many other 19 yr olds do that willing? There's no question he's way better all around than any of the top players coming out in draft including Ball.
I believe Magic wants Ingram 100% & would shock me if he was the one traded. I reiterate we have to see Ingram & Russell play together for at least one more year & I'm talking 35-38 minute games none of this tanking crap.
If they want Paul George, I'd wait until free agency to get him cause even if Celtics trade for him, I don't think he'll sign until he hears from Magic & company so he can play in LA, providing they sign another free agent this summer & get rid of Mosgov and/or Deng? _________________ My Laker squad.

He has not shown me he can do any of those things at a high level, I'm completely willing and ready for him to be traded for Paul George this summer. Ideally we also draft Fultz and move Russell to SG |

Even though their outside personalities are opposite, I feel Magic sees a lot of similarities between him and Ingram, even more so than DLO. No basis, but just a gut feeling. 6'9", can play both ends of the court and multiple positions, play makers, high basketball IQ's, both gym rats, and of course competitive. |

My God, for the past like 5 years we have had this approach every offseason. No allstar player is going to come to a team that sucks, why do we fall for this nonsense each year. |

I don't see anything special in any of our young players, but I'm willing to give Ingram another year to develop. |

Ingram has had an objectively bad year. These are the conclusions a lot of people will come to. If you think he's going to be a star, at this point, you're doing it mostly on faith. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

this is my sentiment as well, jury is still out on Ingram. but DLO, Randle, Clarkson, every one of them can be traded for all i care |

Well he had a bad first half to the season but his play has turned up. Call it faith if you want but Im not gonna sit and say hes a bust because his first three months in the NBA werent great.

I've never been high on Ingram. I see an all around complete player but my gut does not see some star. I always said that he would be an Andrei Kirilinko meets Andre Iguodala. Fringe all star but complete player. A deadly jump shot and he'd be better than those guys.
That said, it is way early to know who he is.
Personally, I'm far more interested in BI than DLO. I'd rather see George/DLO/Ball or Fultz than George/Ingram/Ball or Fultz |

Tatum is a better prospect than Ingram as is every one else ranked above him
That doesn't mean you give up on Ingram or that Ingram won be a better player when all is said and done.
But ESPN judge fae roo quickly on when people will be stars or not, often like some of this fanbase.
I have my hangups on Ingram but I'm not quitting on him his rookie year. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I'm not sure if I'd even call it objectively. I haven't seen any real progression in his game through the year. Typically this is seen in rookies that don't play a lot, but Ingram is logging heavy minutes and averaging 8 and 4 on 37% shooting and 30% shooting from 3. Like everyone said, jury is still out on him, but it hasn't been good so far. |

I think Ingram will be a multi-tool and versatile player. I don't think heavy volume, high usage scoring will be calling card. He seems to like "fitting" into a team, which can be a good thing. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Tbh, I think you need to give most highly touted prospects 2 years to show some significant progression. He hasn't been good for most of the season but there have been flashes of brilliance. If he doesn't show significant progress next season, then yes it's probably time to entertain other options. |

No Progression? The guys stats in 2017 are so much better than 2016. He has been a much improved player as of late. |

He has potential, but every single asset we have should be available for the right deal because at this point none is anything close to a sure thing in terms of superstar talent. |

I didn't say he was a bust. Theres an awful lot of space between bust and star. That's where most of the league lives. He has definitely improved as the season has progressed, but it's fair to hold up his production to where other stars were when they were rookies. Its going to take a pretty big leap. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

I can say with confidence Fultz has a 0% bust potential (barring injuries), our last 3 prospects all had serious red flags
Randle- underdiszed tweener with no outside shot
Russell- slow, unathletic, SG transforming to a PG
Ingram- this dude looks hungry, get him a bagel. His skill set is also really raw |

surprising to see people down on Ingram. I thought he's been looking ok lately? He needs to get stronger over the next 2 years obviously, but he's got great defensive potential, his 3 point shot has been developing and since Magic took over, he's driving at the basket more. He and DLo would be the last guys I'd be looking to move - IF I were Magic. Of course if the our Unicorn, Paul George becomes available, all bets are off... |

Thats a reasonable position but in my eyes if he doesn't become a star he is a bust so I do have high standards. |

None of our players are busts.
But having navigated this LotteryGrounds.net for a few years, what I've learned there is no guarantee a player turns out to be a star either. I'm not worried about bust potential; I want stars. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So since not everyone in the NBA is star, is it safe to say that 99% of the NBA are busts? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
