They actually do, but shooting like everything else is a talent. Some have it and some don't, and no matter how much they practice they stay about the same. There's also some players that practice the same bad mistakes over and over and don't get better because they don't have someone that can tell them what they are doing wrong. |
I don't buy that argument that shooting is an innate talent. A lot of guys came into the league as horrendous shooters or have bad forms and turned into excellent shooters. |

Second most disappointing player next to INgram. It's like he lost all of his athleticism because he can't penetrate anymore. |

I still see Dave on reddit but not on the ridiculous JC train probably because that audience would tear him a new one. |

I thought this was his best preseason game at trying to set players up. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

JC was 3 of 6 for 10 Points, 4 Rebounds, 2 Assists and 1 Steal in limited minutes.....how is that a terrible outing off the bench? JC haters are Tuckers... |

Good outing by JC.Like his activity with and without the ball, and he's still looking to create. Created a few nice opportunities by driving and kicking out to 3 pt line. If only somebody on our team could hit a 3 for once. Looks like he's also trying to pay more attention in his man D. Still horrible at his help coverages though. |

Did you watch the game, or are strictly going off box score? He suffered from tunnel vision throughout, missed several opportunities to pass to the open man, botched easy transition opportunities by trying to do it all himself, and made his usual boneheaded turnovers - all in all, a classic JC game. 2 of his FGs were spoonfed to him by Jules/Kuz late in the game, and he used his athleticism to finish. But it's not his athleticism that I doubt, it's ability to think the game and make smart basketball decisions. On that front, he's the same old clown. |

oh man, you got me....I never watch games....just create uninformed opinions based off of the box score......IF you had watched the game, you would have recognized that his tunnel vision was actually less than he was prone to last year.....as he was actively seeking to pass this game. |

Disagree. I think he demonstrated the willingness to create shots for others. I thoight some of the tunnel vision you speak of came in poor transition opportunities that he forced the issue on. Agree he should have played those better, no doubt. |

Sure. But what are you expecting from a backup guard? |

if you get 12-14 PPG from him a night, and his TO's are low.....I think that should be considered "ok" |

I did watch the game, and think you're just holding him to a lower standard. He was still pretty bad and painful to watch. |

A backup guard that's getting paid $12.5M. |

You would hope he would either be a defender or a microwave or at the very least run the scheme. He is none. |

More than you, and I'm guessing the FO is going to feel the same way when they need to open up that extra bit of cap space for the two max slots they love talking about next summer. |

I have no problem with moving him for cap.
I just don't get what you guys want from a backup this year. Vinnie Johnson? Give me a break.
When I get a chance I'll try to look up all the backup guards in the league to see who we would want over JC. |
