We'll see. If they haven't figured it out at this point I'm trying to figure out why it would start just now. 20+ games is an awfully long time to take to figure out the obvious. |
"if they haven't figured it out by now"
They've been figuring it out just like Ingram's been figuring out his game.
Once he develops a constant source of effectiveness, teams will start scouting and blueprinting it.
That's why the 2nd year tells the story, cause teams start seeing what you do consistently and preparing for it.
That's what's happening. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I don't think anyone believes it's a death sentence.. He's demonstrated he can do other things. I've been happy with his defense and passing. He has 4 assists in this game.
But his shooting percentage will continue to nose dive if he doesn't understand how important it is to get that jumper in order. |

At least this is his worst game of the year.
Watch him hit the game winner though haha. |

Yep.. I'm curious as to how he and the coaching staff responds. If they understand what the problem is. |

Terrible game by BI. Which is weird because he loves NYC. Maybe a little too much NYC love? 😂 Hopefully he'll bounce back vs the Cavs. We'll need it. |

Again it's just hard to know because he doesn't articulate himself clearly |
I don't think people appreciate how "on the fly" the answers that guys give are. In most cases they've just been working their asses off for a couple of hours, then they walk over and get voice recorders shoved in their faces without knowing what they're gonna be asked. I'd probably say a whole bunch of things that were articulated as well as I would want them to be if I was in the same situation. They get better at it because they do it all the time, but it's still tough.
Now that I'm in scrums, I put less weight on what players and coaches say in them. It's a tough environment. |

We would have been able to live with the poor shooting night. It was the team high 5 TO's that went with it that killed us. |

The refs... McDermott holds Lonzo and no foul called. Sigh. |

1000% ya. Answers are on the fly and the effort to answer the exact question, or articulate yourself in depth - rarely there. |

A product of those awful, predictable drives. He's not a good enough passer to get out of them unscathed. |

I'm not cuttin him any slack.. He meant what he said.
"Of course, there are some days where I’ll just go in and work on my jumper." He needs to work on that shet every time he's in the gym. That's not fatigue talking, that's him telling us what he works on.
“Right now, I’m mainly focused on doing the things I do well." Again I can't chalk that up as fatigue talking.. Thats him communicating a priority.
I defend him to no end, but that just doesn't make any sense. That thing that he says he's focused on, that he does so well, will become a non factor if he doesn't focus on improving his shooting. |

Sounds like he said some days he strictly works on his jumper... ok sounds about right |

I'm not mad at Ingram having a bad night...VERY bad night. The Knicks played BI how I though teams would/should have, earlier in the season. The initial defender plays his strong hand, and bodies him on the drive (which gets BI off balance), while the help defender comes over to contest the shot. Too many times, that help defender was KP. It worked for the Knicks, though I would have liked to see KP involved in those pick/roll situations, as opposed to sagging in the paint.
BI knows he has to work on his jumper, and this is just more tape to use to educate our young guys. Despite BI's poor performance, the team played well, but the usual turnovers killed us.

He just had a bad game after a great stretch. Nothing more - nothing less.
He'll bounce back. |

Turns out BI hasn't improved after all. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

I thought with the gamewinner last game he would rely on his jumper a bit more instead he puts up this stinker along with too many TOs. Oh well youth |
