Yeah, IT is a much more seasoned P/R operator than JC. Obviously JC's size makes him less of a mismatch, but he's been a godsend for someone like Zub.
What I like, in part, about the IT experiment is that our guys get to play off someone who is a somewhat high usage player. The hope IMO by this FO is we get 2 of them in PG/LBJ. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Too much Kobe in him...he's fast forwarding Kobe's career.

Weird. He should just work on playing better for us the last two minutes of the game. He played well up to that point though. |

ZO loves to back off and let who he thinks is the closer do his job. Right now it's IT, usually it's BI.
The real positive is that ZO can learn a lot from IT, and for sure he's absorbing everything that IT is doing and will implement it into his game later on.
IT will help ZO immensely these last 20 games. |

changing your number when there is 19 games left, and your likely not going to return the next season
Twitter comments were funny.....changed it to reflect how many buckets he makes per 15 attempts these days......thinking he is Kobe with 2 numbers....and then there is Sentient Meat fighting the simultaneous war on LG & Twitter! |

I've been rooting for IT but its pretty clear he's either a) not healthy or b) not the same player. He has moments where you are like "hell ya that was awesome" and then he'll run into 2 bigs and jump in the air to pass |

Why change your number with 19 games left and chances are you are not coming back? Maybe he is willing to stay here long term for cheap or something. |

IT the last 5 games is giving us 19/7 off the bench in 28 MPG with only 2 TOVs
Whats down is his field goal percentage and three percentage.
However those are the kinds of things that can be helped and fixed with an entire off-season of strength training, and conditioning to get his legs back, two advantages he didn't have last off-season for obvious reasons. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

This is what I have focused on. I am happy with IT. I actually feel more confident when he comes in off the bench now. Not that Clarkson was bad but IT just has more potential to blow up for us. |

Gotta consider that this spike in his playing, also happened after the all-star break where Thomas said he was going to be dedicating the entire break in the gym, getting to work on things like his conditioning and his strength which he hadn't really been able to do all season with his usual routine consistency.
It's no surprise that after that he's been playing much better and looked more like himself.
An entire off-season of that would get his legs underneath him, and I very much thing that even as he is right now he's a 19-20 ppg guy off the bench, it's just about getting that percentage up to his usual 44%.
I think Thomas after an off-season of work is a MUST re-sign for us. Given what he's shown us so far he's definitely of the talent. The question is if he's willing to play Super 6th man. That is the be all and end all with me tbh. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

And a guy who grinded his way to the top as a 5'9 NBA player, that's hard for him to give up. Don't think he's going to willingly let go of being a starter/star to Lonzo for the next 3-4 years. That's in his DNA and a reason why he got to his peak last year. He won't back down. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
