I don't think Cook could have led the summer league team to a championship without BI and Lonzo. Kuzma is a going to be a great player. I laugh at some of the people in the FA thread that want to trade him to move Deng. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

With Kuz and Josh out and IT starting you really see our lack of depth. The rest of the bench consists of G-League players and guys on the edge of being out of the NBA. GSW had three starters out and still had a handful of impact players to bring in off the bench.
I hope we don't forget about that during free-agency. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

Pretty much. Gotta add some solid veterans to our bench. |

Would love to hear an update on Kuz as well as BI. We could really use both of them. That GS game was ugly and our lack of depth really puts a burden on Randle. Hoping for good news soon. |

Ingram is out, per Tania G. |

Yup. Mentioned in the BI thread is a tweet by Bres that BI will be evaluated at the Friday shoot around with an eye towards returning against Indy.
As for Kuz - I took a look at CBS injury line, he's listed as game day decision.
Get that ankle healthy Kuz! |

I've been putting the BI updates in the thread title for everyone. |

I post injury updates as they come (although I was late today *blushes*). But check that injury thread on the Daily. |

While Kuz is not a brand of air conditioner,
the Lakers need some Kuz to beat the heat...! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

I think he may have made the ankle sprain worse by going back in the game. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

He shouldn't play tonight...hate to say it, but the future is too important to risk and he's already played more games this year then all of his college years combined...or very close to it. _________________ "If You're Afraid To Fail...Then You're Probably Going To Fail."

We likely don't win that game without him though. He was the catalyst in the 4th that gave us the run to ultimately win the game. Since it was the Nuggets with all the drama surrounding them, I would take the W for two games without Kuz. |

I agree it was worth coming back in. Hopefully he won't miss more than two games. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

it was a weird sprain. His ankle didn't role, it like, jerked at full speed -- maybe that's a higher ankle sprain - his tape/wrap on it was high |

Good job of toughing it out on an obvious injured ankle. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
