Maglinka know this and will not include him in a trade unless the offer is too good to pass up.
I think Hart could develop into a dead eye 3 pt shooter and he can take it off the dribble and finish also. Physically strong, Villanova steeled....I love this kid (I can call him a kid at my age) |
He should be considered similar to Kuzma value in trade talks IMO. |
Slow down there boss, I love me some Hart but Kuzma is a tier above him right now. |
how so?
Kuzma is a better scorer but that's it. Hart is a better defender, 3 point shooter, and rebounder. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Na. I think most people need to slow down the Kuz hype train more than anything. He’s a more skilled scorer but as far as impacting the game, Hart is comparable. |

Plays like he belongs on the Spurs.
Wouldn't be surprised if he takes most of the time at the 2 spot next season. |

No seriously, slow your roll. Kuzma already had games where he single handedly defeated teams, especially the Celtics. That isn't hype, it's a fact.
Hart is awesome as a 3 and D player. But not somebody that can carry a team. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

ESPN is making it sound like we're the 2017 Bulls, but we're a Lopez signing away from being better than the Cavs team from these past Finals IMO. And our guard rotation plays better defense. |
And I wouldn't trade either for korver or smith...they're both just better two way players. Korver/smith can be better offensively but I think KCP / hart bring it on both sides of the ball
Even with Lebron, this team will surprise folks next year |

Everyone getting excited over some summer league play (ironic considering Kuz's last summer league). He's a great role player who put up great numbers on some teams at the end of last season, but Kuz was dominating teams like the Rockets, Spurs, and Celts and has shown a considerably higher skill set with a much higher ceiling. The difference between them isn't enormous but it's clear that Kuz is the much better prospect. |

Yeah. Raw clay potential vs. actual realized potential. I take Hart over Ferguson too. We need more polished pieces. |
I understand this perspective, but I would have really liked a true upside gamble from the Lakers last night. Need a shot at a star or serious offensive contributor badly and would take a 19 year old with tools and potential over a solid 22 year old. I think that's what they were going for with Bryant and appreciate it. |

I know he's a contributing role-player. If he can become better remains to be seen. Depends on how much he works on his game and his ability to stay healthy. _________________ Do you believe it now, Trinity? - Morpheous |

He definitely has a skill set and I think his tool box is full for a 2nd year player. I know we were all high on Ball and Kuzma last year but I think it is great what we are doing in the draft. I mean, we had a lot of draft picks that just plain sucked. First rounders who should have been amazing only to fall to injury or just could not hack the NBA.
I love Mo and Svi from this years draft. Should be interesting to see how they play over the coming year. _________________ This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats. |

If you’re gonna contribute to a championship caliber team you need to dominate the summer league going into your second year IMO. There’s a few exceptions but I think for the most part that’s the case. Hart is dominant in his second summer league, he’ll have to prove his more than just a rotational level player in the regular season. |

Hitman is a pro. SL is his warm up for camp, camp a warm up for preseason.
He’s going to be in mid season form and rhythm by opening tip off. The young man has a plan for his sophomore season. This is the work ethic of a professional mindset. A far cry from several one and done players compared to his 4 year exp with ‘Nova.
There’s something to be said about training, structure, and self reliance. _________________ DEAR BASKETBALL |

As 4 year college players I think that Hart and Kuzma are probably 75% of their max, their athletic primes are about 3 years away. We should continue to see mental progress for longer, though. Funny how they used to be the norm. At the very least they will be solid bench players. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

been wondering the same, if kcp regresses in any way, I think hart could take his spot. hart could possible hit +40% on threes this year, he doesn't seem to miss on open threes. the only ones he misses are the pullups/contested ones, that he would never actually attempt in real NBA games playing with Lebron,zo, and rondo. |

Exactly. What a wack take. When he was starting at the end of last season, he was straight balling. Against NBA players... |

I could see the Lakers going small in spurts with
Rondo
Hart
KCP
at 1,2,3 |

The aspect I really am impressed with of Hart in Summer League is his competitive attitude.
Have heard the announcers discussing a couple times how Hart and Kuzma and Ball are expecting him to dominate the SL and be the MVP. Even giving him grief about leading the team to a 2nd SL Championship.
Hart's attitude is "of course I'm the best player" and the chemistry and camaraderie with his teammates are both great signs of something special developing. Need to keep Hart and the others together. |

Josh Hart came back in and locked that boy up.
Knox is 0-5 with 3 turnovers since Hart came back in. |
