I'm starting to come to the realization that Lonzo/Hart/Kuzma and Ingram will all have these wild up and down games they been having for the entire season because of the Lebron offense they play in. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Still early in season and this team is still very effective offensively. Give them some time to gel, this team will be fine. _________________ This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats. |

The one who doesn't play with him enough. Josh Hart.

Consistency is being responsible for your own stuff. Development! Now that's the question. We will see in time.
But blaming Lebron for their inconsistency is silly. Kuzma is the best fit so far but defensively, he has issues. |

I just think with the way Lebron offense work, these guys are gonna be prone to having huge variances the entire season.
I mean with Lonzo it's decided that he doesn't even get starter minutes if he's not playing good.
Ingram has been having up and down games this entire season.
Kuzma is not much better. _________________ “Life is too short. You have to keep it moving.” - Kobe |

Patience!
Seriously, do you realize that the very definition of "consistent" is completely dependent on the passage of time. 12 games ain't gonna cut it. Revive this thread after a year or so. Then we can discuss. |

Hart has been consistent. Kuzma, to a lesser extent if you just count scoring in double figures. _________________ |

Define consistent? Have our core become consistent 20ppg scores and perennial All-Stars. That may not happen with or without Lebron. This team will have a chance to consistently win though, with a rotation of #2 options every night. If someone wants to become the consistent #2, they have to come and take it. If young Kobe was on this team, you’d think he’d be okay with being a Robin or a Pippen? |

The team hasn't had a LeBron offense thus far this season. LeBron has been willing to let other guys handle the ball. His assist rate dropped from 44.4% last season to 31.4% this season. He's not spamming pick and roll or lining up in the post as often.
Kuzma, Hart, Ball; their games all fit well with Bron's. Ingram has to adjust, though. |

This is very evident. Lonzo and Ingram still have higher ceilings but their development does not seem to be where it needs to be for this team. |

Ball becomes consistent in putting full court pressure.
Ingram becomes consistent in breaking defense.
Kuzma becomes consistent in scoring.
Hart becomes consistent in......really can’t ask for more from him! |

Kuzma and Hart seem to be the best fits, Lonzo and BI don’t fit well. Lonzo needs the ball in his hands a bit more and BIs iso game doesn’t fit what we are trying to do as a team at all.
As much as we’ve been pumping up our super young guys, they probably need to take a back seat if we want to win more than we lose this season. I still think Lonzo and BI are going to be fine, but neither is physically or mentally mature enough at this point. |

Every player, young and old, will become more consistent playing next to Lebron. |

The entire team hardly fits next to LeBron... Not just the young guys.
But since we are talking young guys...
Ingram is the biggest problem for me because he's our second option and he should be the third or maybe fourth.
I don't expect much from Kuzma except for scoring. That's all he is. Hart is relentless, but that's all he is. He has no governance to his game.
Zo is a specialist liability right now.
A trade is coming. It's going to take too long for these guys to become collectively consistent contributors at a championship level. So two of the three will go. My bet is on Zo and Ingram getting shipped. Kuzma and Hart are perfect bench guys and they've already blossomed into those roles.
The moment we signed LeBron is the moment we gave up the youth movement. People need to accept this reality.
The holdup is two-fold:
1. We cannot use any of the cap space (this season) unless we are bringing in AD.
2. We must maximize whatever equity we have in Ingram/Ball. The best deal may come once a few other dominoes fall.
The Lakers will most likely be a very good team after the trade deadline. But the uphill hill battle (owing to seeding) will probably take it's toll. I suspect Magic and Pelinka will not pass on AD and another piece if it's available at the deadline. _________________ “There are no limits. Hart will grow, IMO.
Kuzma & Ingram will be up and down.
Lonzo? Not the player I thought he was. On the upside
he's still very young and could be a late bloomer or a
trade chip, but inconsistency is his trademar for now.
It's very hard to find that special player who will be
a star. _________________ Lakers need to build a freaking team !

It's not easy to play with Lebron, or just about any all-time great, mostly because they're so ball dominant and they totally change the complexion of their team. I wonder how much of Kuzma and Ingram's inconsistency is simply because they're learning how to blend their game with Lebron's game. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |
