Trump supporter At Steve Bannon's Rally: "Never in my life did I think I'd like to see a dictator, but if there's going to be one, I want it to be trump"
And people say Bill Maher is off the rails when he suggests Trump may not go quietly into the dark night if he loses the election.
Trump's base seems to treat him like he's Jesus Christ, as evidenced by the tweet above. Before the midterm elections, Trump said something about encouraging violence if the Dems won back the House.
He has not only built up a scary following the likes of which are usually reserved for dictators or LeBron James fanboys, he has also riled them up and gotten some of them ready to take some kind of action (or at least want to) if he loses the 2020 election. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

What happened to that abortion story? This ia the only place I've heard about it...
Well, in case you haven't noticed, there is little conservative "news" in this forum. I skim it to see what is being said in the, largely, belief-oriented circles and will occasionally post something I think might be significant. _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo"

There's zero doubt one of the drums they are going to beat from now until the election is that Democrats are killing newborn babies. They're already beating it loud. The smart candidates will have a specific, clear response to that question and the dumb ones will be vague and let the GOP define it for them. _________________ 14-5-3-12

Kinda plays into my point. Beto's comment is really only a conservative talking point. Thus it's only going to affect Beto should he become the Dem candidate. The conservatives won't be voting Beto anyway. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

The only two concerns for the dem nominee are can they turn out their voters, and can they turn out independents? The GOP would try to use this as a wedge between Beto and Latinx voters (due to Catholicism), but I will take my chances on Beto vs. Trump with that demo. _________________ “We must always take sides. Shortly before he gave speeches launching his 2020 campaign earlier this month, Bernie Sanders emailed his supporters, urging them to “do our very best to engage respectfully with our Democratic opponents—talking about the issues we are fighting for, not about personalities or past grievances. I want to be clear that I condemn bullying and harassment of any kind and in any space.”
What he didn’t include was that one of the people already advising him and helping him write those launch speeches is one of his most famously aggressive supporters online.
Since December, David Sirota has, on Twitter, on his own website, and in columns in The Guardian, been trashing most of Sanders’s Democratic opponents—all without disclosing his work with Sanders—and has been pushing back on critics by saying that he was criticizing the other Democrats as a journalist. He centered many of his attacks on Beto O’Rourke, but he also bashed Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Joe Biden, Kirsten Gillibrand, Michael Bennet, John Hickenlooper, Mike Bloomberg, and even Andrew Cuomo.

I can easily see a Biden/Beto ticket- would crush trump, and even peel away some of his traitorous 33% base. _________________ Creatures crawl in search of blood, To terrorize y'alls neighborhood.

Policy doesn’t mean much when you are dishonest.
So you have your own candidate who is 100% honest I take it? who is it?
Some are certainly more honest than others. Bernie isn't one of the former. He'll certainly be my candidate should he get the nomination, outside of that, I am entertaining others - too early to narrow it down to one. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know
