Who is best PF of Lakers all time anyway? Worthy counts as PF? Gasol was great too so can Davis outclass them? He probably needs multiple rings and maybe regular season/finals MVP? |

Worthy was a SF and I think AD will play more at Center for the Lakers. |

I think AD will definitely be viewed in the All-Time rankings as a Center (both on ours and overall in the league). He'll also definitely be compared more to the Shaqs and Kareems of our history than to Gasol, so there's also that. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

Right now should be used as a 5.
Doesn’t have a great outside shot, so for spacing reasons alone he should be setting picks as a 5 for LBJ. The opposing 5 switches and you have mismatches galore.
Essential LBJ and AD have great shooting around them as both like to attack the paint and both draw attention. Since AD is not a great 3 point shooter, the other 3 guys need to be. AD needs to make a lot of plays from the high post as a passer and facilitator. Then drive with the ball himself if he feels the play is there. Our basic go to play needs to be LBJ with the ball up high in the PG role waiting for a screen for AD. Then switch it up where LBJ just feeds the ball to AD up high who becomes a point Center from that spot.
Can’t say it enough just sign the best defensively skilled/capable shooters you can. Make Kuzma and Wagner shoot 500 3s a day. |

I certainly hope he can! Not to be overly critical but by skills alone he should be the clear cut "best" if he plays with the Lakers for a few seasons. Hope they can get a solid five years from him and he easily gets this accolade.
Lakers superstar position has never been PF. Right now it is arguably Gasol, Odom , Horry and maybe Green because of his legendary durability. Not counting Malone for his cup of coffee with the club or going back to the Minny Lakers.
IMO Davis needs to be the PF, not C though. Obviously there will be small ball or end of games situations where he will play center. But for the majority of the time they need a couple centers to do the dirty work in the paint and on screens.
Davis is more finesse then grit. He needs a center to play off of. Same rationale for James at SF instead of all these fantasy rosters putting him at PF.
Limited lineups, no problem. Majority of the time they need some size and junk yard dogs. Currently not a center on the roster. Who they add will make the difference IMO. |

The best Lakers power forward of all time is Pau Gasol. We had one other Hall of Famer who was a power forward during his prime for the Lakers, Vern Mikkelsen, but he's an older guy few people remember. After that it's Lamar Odom, Robert Horry, Happy Hairson, no one all that great.
James Worthy and Jamaal Wilkes play power forwards at times, but they're really considered small forwards. Karl Malone, Bob McAdoo, Spencer Hayward are Hall of Famers PFs who played for the Lakers, but their Prime was elsewhere.
Anthony Davis will likely play center though.

Worthy was a Small Forward.
Best Laker PFs? Probably Karl Malone or Samaki Walker, Samaki has a ring over Karl so it's debatable |

He needs to surmount what Pau has accomplished. Right now, he is the bar at that position. |
