He intentionally unwrestled his arm and swung it around but he didn’t intend to clock Stewart in the eye. |

If the Joker got one game for what he did to Markief, then LeBron will be fined $50,000. That $1 to you most of us. |

This. He tried to give Stewart a little nudge for holding his arm, but didn't want to actually hurt him |

From the NBA: “LeBron James has been suspended one game without pay for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.”
James will serve the suspension Tuesday night (at NYK). |

I'm not shocked but the result - I could have made an argument that LBJ shouldn't have gotten a game but I also accept he threw his arm back and even if he didn't mean to hit the face, that act was suspension-worthy.
If I were LeBron, I'd argue that he was trying to protect his safety - and he probably did - but I think they decided there was a little extra in it. Is what it is.
I actually thought Stewart would get 4 games - that was more surprising to me than Bron getting 1 over just a $50k fine _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

IMO the blow was unintentional. League rules about blows to the head say in some cases, flagrant 2 and ejection.
Even though it was unintentional it was a blow to the head that caused damage. No blood no foul doesn't apply in this case. IMO a flagrant 2, ejection and a fine for Bron would have sufficed.
3 games for Stewart. Isaiah was out of control. He had to be restrained by everyone except the fans.
Optics, the sight of blood, and Steward's unraveling nudged the league to punish. So, LBJ 1 and Stewart 2 is acceptable. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
