Competitive/ physical activity? "Mama Said Knock You Out" -- LL Cool J. Without question.
Anything involving a suit/ formal wear? "Thunderball" -- Tom Jones.
Trust me, folks. The theme from the 1965 Sean Connery Bond movie freaking ROCKS.
For all you single guys out there, when you need to psych up for a club, a party, a relative's wedding -- any potentially target-rich environment -- there is no psych-up anthem that matches the formula of sheer gusto, machismo, panty-throwing cheesiness that is circa-1965 Tom Jones.
Imagine a James Bond-style brass section and the unabashed belting of Tom Jones on lyrics like this:
"HE....always RUNNNS... while others WAAALK.
He AAAAACTS... WHILE other men... just TAAALK.
He LOOOOOKS... at this WORLD... and wants it AAAALLLLL.
So he STRIKES... like THUNNNN-DER-BAAAALLLL.
"HE... knows the MEAning... of suc-CEEESSSSSS.
His NEEEEDS... are MORE... so he gives LEEEESSS.
They CAAALLLL... him the WIN-neerrrr... who takes AAAALLLL.
So he STRIKES... like THUNNNN-DER-BAAAALLLL."
This song is mathematically designed to inflate your head and the ego within it by 150 psi. You either walk out of your house with your chest puffed out, or laughing like someone punched you in the gut.

If you can't appreciate it, at least don't mock it. No one is forcing you to listen to it either. It just goes to show that some of you people can't appreciate diversity in this world. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

Remember the Name is my new favorite. I hate to say it, but that John Tash NBA theme song was the best. I'll settle for Remember the Name from now on though if we can't have John Tash back. |

I also like Thuggish Ruggish Bone by Bone Thugz N Harmony, doesnt really pump me up, its just a really good song. |

How can anyone disregard Right Now by Van Halen. It's only played at every Lakers home game before they come out of the tunnel.
