Not particularly excited about him but like Nance, I'm not worried about it. Has solid athleticism (particularly quickness) and good character/motor. Low round picks are so low % in terms of impact that worrying about them is futile. He seems as good as any other prospect to have a chance so I hope he makes the most of it.
Anybody else think the lakers view him as more of a 3? Maybe a 3/4 but mostly a 3?
We have way too many 4's and I doubt Kuzma can compete with nance and randle for minutes. Especially considering they should both make decent strides shooting this season.
This kid looks better than Randle to me... what are people complaining about?
Idk how you can complain about him for a 27th pick, considering the fact that the Lakers really believe in his shooting(and it wasn't horrible last year). Shot great at combine scrimmage, and had a couple amazing workouts, per Pelinka

He looks like a skilled, polished basketball player while Randle looks more like a great athlete moonlighting at the sport.
Liking this pick more and more. He reminds me a bit of Randle too. Unique skills at 4. Check out this truly horrible video breakdown of his passing skills.

yea some elite passes here for a PF
I'm actually imagining him finding Lonzo for cuts and not the other way around. Yeah this guy could be a lot of fun _________________ Austin Reaves

Look at the improvements he made year-by-year. I didn't follow him much prior to the draft but he's really caught my interest. _________________ Austin Reaves

I just realized that about 2 weeks ago when I watched the Jackson and Fox workout interviews, kuzma was the only other player I watched the interview of.

His last 20 games he shot 39% from 3
ew that's the same argument to prop up Josh Jax or Fox
No thanks, random anomalies occur in small sample sizes
Ya the in-game numbers aren't good. But, what are workouts for? What if a player with a good looking stroke, blows you away shooting the ball in a workout? Dude went 4-5 3s in an NBA combine scrimmage, that's better than a workout - and then Pelinka said he had 2 amazing workouts.. I like his stroke, the Lakers like his stroke.. Honestly don't think a bad 3pt shooter could shoot that well in a life-determining scrimmage, and that not portend well
If Randle or Nance shot 40% in 20 games , and then had a great summer shooting the ball - you would be somewhat optimistic for their shooting the next season.
There are some full games on YouTube. UCLA vs the Utes, watch two of our picks right here:
I watched this Utah game a few days ago:
Haha, I did the same thing to watch Ball.
Watched Kuzma too. Fluid, versatile, could be a combo forward and fits the positionless offense. A poor man's Tatum.

I just meant using the last 20 games to judge his 3FG% is cherrypicking in a bad way. It only ever seems valid to me if there were some change right before he picked it up: injury recovery, form change, etc.
I wasn't really responding to him having a good workout.
