Anyone else increasingly frustrated that we don't see experimentation of these two together off the bench? Kieff/Trezz, you're asking for a layup line on defense.

On offense, Trezz can work inside, with Marc playing high elbow and facilitating (we desperately lack playmakers on the 2nd unit). Marc can also stretch to the 3 point line.

On defense, Trezz should guard PFs, and Marc stay closer to the rim.

I'm perplexed about why we are not experimenting with this right now. Marc's playmaking would really help that 2nd unit.

Ditto. Quite puzzled.

I think we have a great idea of Kieff. Dude is always going to be ready to play.

But we need some reps from Marc/Trezz.

Everyone is complaining about the lack of playmakers on the bench (Marc is one of the best on our team). Just a bit puzzling. I fear Denver will be a bad matchup for Trezz again, and then we just throw out Marc expecting him to perform.

How do you save it for the playoffs when we've never really run that lineup with Trezz at PF, Marc at C? Trezz usually backed up Marc.

This seems to be the plan

I think at least half of my posts over the past couple months have been expressing my frustration over this.

I have no idea about WTF is Vogel thinking right now.

He's gotta make a decision and choose our 9 man rotation.

It would literally solve a lot of our bench issues. The lack of playmaking and rim protection...that's basically Marc.

Keef doesn’t exactly play good defense either so he is just a body out there if he can’t make shots. Sit his ass when he’s bricking.

Vogel overthinks stuff like this. He is trying to get guys extended run so he goes through stretches where he benches guys entirely to do it.

Which is not really necessary, Gasol is 36 he doesn't need or want to play big minutes anyways. You can spot him next to Trezz and that combo would work perfectly fine. If you had Gasol or AD out there with Trezz at all times that should be great pairings. And with Drummond you just keep him out there with shooters as the sole big or with AD.

It's simple but Vogel would rather DNP guys.

I think Frank is pretty set in stone that Trez is a C, not a PF.

Truth is that somebody is going to get cut out the rotation. Personally, I think if we could do it over, it would have been wise to move Trez for some sort of guard/wing depth. Trez Bec he has the most value between he and Gasol but I don't see either as highly valuable come playoff time though I trust Marc's skillset more for that environment.

Sick and tired of Harrell/Kieff, Harrell/Wes froncourt when they have a big body that was just sitting in the bench.

Lakers small ball has 0 defense, add to that they also clogged the paint and create no spacing which is the main purpose of small ball. When Harrell doesnt get his points and 3pt shots bricked, their defense are not there to bail them out.

You would think one of these reporters would grow a pair and, I dunno, ASK about the elephant in the room?

Maybe someone did and I missed it but I'm pretty sure no one, especially during the time Kieff's play has dropped off (injury), just up and asked "you going to play Trezz and Gasol together like you mentioned before?"

If there was any game to try that in, it was this one. But Vogel opted to keep Gasol benched in the 2nd half.

Going into the 4th, Lakers had a 10 point lead. Up 88-78.

Knucklehead Vog let Kieff/Trez start and stay in all the way to the 6:44 mark when AD and Dre entered. At that point lead was 96-93, and Trez had just scored putting the Lakers up by 3.

So team was outscored 15-8 to start the 4th with Trez/Kieff.

Even I called out before this happened that the Kings is just waiting for Harrell/Kieff combo to overtake the Lakers. And guess what, I am right, not because I am a coach, but it is already a pattern. It looks like Vogel is the only one who don't see this pattern, that is going on for many games now.

This thread is even made because of that, and it is made before the Kings game

Bron or without Bron, Leads will always evaporate because of this lineup, and Vogel keeps on using this. And it's freaking frustrating.

Well, to be fair, Trezz was a great part the lead went up to 11. When he entered in the 3rd, it was not comfortable and him and AD had a couple of dunks. The first couple of minutes
in the 4th we maintain the lead and then the B Mac effect come to action. 2 turnovers and 3 3pts basket from DWright.

Trezz becomes useless when there is no Lebron or AD on the floor. Vogel should always let him play together with them.

Trezz is fine. But Kief playing over Gasol is pointless.

Why is this bench duo so hard to put in a game?
