Natalia Bryant Reportedly Files for Restraining Order From Stalker
Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s eldest daughter Natalia reportedly filed for a restraining order on Monday against “a stalker with a criminal history involving guns,” TMZ writes.
The outlet reports that Natalia Bryant has informed authorities about a man named Dwayne Kemp, 32, who tried contacting her two years ago, when the now-19-year-old was underage. “She says he’s under a delusion they have a romantic relationship,” per TMZ, which got a hold of court documents. “Natalia says she has never met or otherwise had contact with him.”
Kemp is alleged to have recently appeared at Natalia’s USC sorority house and a class she’s taking.
The court docs indicate Kemp messaged Bryant expressing his desire to have “a Kobe-like child together,” sending an image of her late dad and a heart with the words, “Thankful For Him Birthing You, Hopefully We Can Birth Him…‘Kobe.’”
TMZ says Kemp has been arrested and/or convicted for “at least four crimes, including one involving firearms,” is close to legally obtaining a new gun, and has also “threatened to buy both an AK-47 and a fully automatic Glock,” per the filing.
While Natalia Bryant is waiting on the judge’s approval, the LAPD is “involved in the case and clearly wants a restraining order in place.”
In August, a jury ruled in favor of Vanessa Bryant in a lawsuit against the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and L.A. County Fire Department pertaining to graphic photo leaked from the site of Kobe and 13-year-old daughter Gianna’s fatal helicopter crash, where six more individuals also perished in January 2020.
Shortly after the court victory, Bryant announced she would donate the $16 million she was awarded to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
I'd honestly have a private investigator trail him at all times. Would be $$$ but the family can afford it. If this guy is truly that nuts, even an armed escort won't help. He can open fire from anywhere. Really scary. _________________ KOBE
It sucks that the law thinks restraining orders mean a darn thing to stalkers. She needs armed security at all times in case that guy tries anything, until he's actually thrown in jail. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

TRO or, temporary restraining orders are useless if the perp wants to target you. The only logical response is having someone(s) protecting her (and (herself) that are as armed and dangerous as this fool.

Yeah, definitely scary and sketch. Not sure how a restraining order truly protects her against somebody like that, but guess it's better than nothing.
It doesn't but she can't be accused of not taking the legal route first in case he were to die .. under mysterious circumstances.
I was more surprised that she doesn't already have a security team with her at all times.
I'd say most celebrities don't walk around with a security detail all the time. I mean Natalia isn't even a celebrity herself besides by association. These colleges like USC have a bunch of rich semi-celebs walking around.
Ain't no specific gender when it comes to celebrities and high profile people being stalked. The common theme is these people are deranged and in need of psychological help.
Judge grants Natalia Bryant temporary restraining order against alleged stalker
A judge has signed off on a temporary restraining order for Natalia Bryant against her alleged stalker, according to TMZ Sports.
The 19-year-old is the daughter of late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. It was reported earlier this week that the younger Bryant was dealing with a stalker that had a criminal history.
The younger Bryant will receive court-ordered protection from 32-year-old Dwayne Kemp, who has been under the delusion that the two are in a relationship, according to the younger Bryant.
According to TMZ, the harassment from Kemp towards the 19-year-old has been going on for two years and is escalating. The troubled young man has reportedly even gone so far as to show up on the University of Southern California’s campus, where the younger Bryant is currently a student.
“She says he recently showed up at USC, creeping around buildings where she’s taking classes,” TMZ reported. “He’s even shown up at her sorority house.”
Kemp has a criminal history, and it’s one that involves the use of firearms, making it even more important that the younger Bryant get protection from the 32-year-old.
“According to court docs, Kemp has been convicted of at least 4 crimes, including one involving a firearm,” TMZ reported. “Cops say he’s in the process of buying a gun, and he’s made clear on social media he’s interested in an AK-47 and/or a fully automatic Glock.”
The restraining order requires that Kemp stay at least 200 yards away from the younger Bryant, her school, sorority house, car, home and job.
It’s good to see the 19-year-old getting some kind of protection from Kemp before the situation escalates any further.
The Bryant family has been through a lot the past few years since the passing of the elder Bryant on Jan. 26, 2020 in a helicopter crash that killed eight others, including his daughter Gianna.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
During his playing career, the elder Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 32.9 percent from beyond the arc. He will forever be one of the most important figures in Lakers history, as he led the team to tremendous success during his career.
The Lakers legend won five NBA titles with the franchise, becoming a beloved figure by fans and players across the NBA for his relentless work ethic.
Hopefully the court-order protection for the younger Bryant will keep her safe from Kemp and allow her to move on with her life from this disturbing experience.
Natalia Bryant Testifies She Feared for Her Life After Years of Stalker Hounding Her
A Sun Valley man has been ordered by a judge to stay 200 yards away from Kobe Bryant's daughter for the next three years.
Natalia Bryant testified in county court that she she feared for her life after years of stalking, online and in-person.
"He was in love with me. He wanted to make love to me. He wanted to be together," Natalia testified in court.
She was referring to Dwayne Cortez Toliver Kemp, 32, whom she's never met.
She never responded to him online.
"I was in fear, for the longest time, that if I did block him, he would act in rage or get angry," she said.
The direct messages on social media date back two years to when Natalia Bryant, daughter of late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa, was 17 years old.
Now at 19, she's a sophomore at USC.
She told the court she had been ignoring the messages, but became alarmed when Kemp showed up at her sorority a few months ago, with a bouquet of edible flowers. He then returned a second time with real flowers, and ended up wandering on to campus, asking staff if she was in class that day.
"He says he wants to come visit me, and then…he does," she testified.
An LAPD detective testified that Kemp posed a danger to Natalia based, in part, on video and photos he posted of himself buying semiautomatic weapons. He said owns legally registered guns because he works as a security officer.
He admitted that he did have a romantic interest in Bryant after she turned 19, but his intentions were neither malicious nor dangerous.
"It's totally a misunderstanding," he said.
"I give flowers to females all the time, and it works," he said.
He says he miss-read Bryant's non-responses on social media.
"If I would've been blocked, I would've known right then and there that she wasn't interested," he said.
Regardless of his rationale, the court concluded that Kemp exhibited "stalking behavior."
He's ordered to stay 200 yards away from her at all times for the next three years, and no contact whatsoever, including on social media.
Kemp has also been ordered to surrender or sell every firearm he owns, which he says will hurt the most, because without them, he can't work.
“If she would t blocked me” (bleep), how about never respondin lg to your crazy ass lol
That's the thing about social media. If you don't make it private, you're open for whoever comes in. Hopefully, it ends here. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

I feel so bad for the women in this situation because there are some delusional guys out there who don’t think rationally or logically. If a girl is private on these platforms, a certain type of guy will think they just need to go out of their way to sweep them off their feet in person. A mentality of “if I can just get close enough to meet them, they’ll reciprocate my feelings” or something like that.
I remember hearing one actress (can’t remember who) who was asked how she deals with that kind of attention and she said she didn’t really get any of that and assumed it was because she was so open and approachable that no one ever had to sneak around to find her or take her picture or whatever. Of course that won’t always work either because there are some guys who aren’t going to be a threat until they get rejected.
Hopefully this passes but it only takes one weirdo to really ruin someone’s sense of security.

Even if you do, you’re still going to have people trying to invade your privacy. Non-anonymized media is just a bad idea these days. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
