If they don’t keep Reaves, I think there will be a riot. |

Austin is a bonafide high level role player. Just does everything right, coaches and teammates love him. He's a guy you need to keep around. On a priority list of who to keep, he's #1. |

I’m realistic. They guy would be a 10th or 11th man on a playoff team at best. The Reaves groupies remind me of the Jeremey Linn fandom without his success. |

2nd best player behind AD or mediocre player on a lottery team?
Troy Brown Jr.
Dennis Schroder
Lonnie Walker IV
Damion Jones
Thomas Bryant
JTA
(Just think we had a guy, Matt Ryan, on the roster who had been working for door dash just prior)
ALL were free agents for a reason. The team is mediocre, and Reeves, behind AD & James, has played the most consistent.
He's the 3rd best, he and LWIV, or at least most consistent, behind our ringbearers. |

He has developed into a solid role player, and he makes some good decisions. The poor decisions will likely diminish with more experience. For those of you who are rabid about making a trade, calculate in salaries along with the tax level and realize that you might be making it difficult to keep him. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

All I ever see you judge people on is their outward athleticism.
Is it important? Absolutely, this is the most athletic game.
But Lonnie Walker is more athletic than Luka, and Luka is a superior player.
I'm not saying Reaves is Luka... but he's got a lot of crafty moves and he's trending towards a 50/40/90 season.
Steve Nash is another non athletic guy who didn't peak until he was thirty.
I'm not saying Reaves is Nash either... but when I see you review players it's always on how athletic they look and I think that can be short sighted. |

DB wrote: Quote: | Reaves -- -- Balling. He was part of a big miscue in the final minute, but that shouldn’t overshadow just how well he’s balling. He starting to play like he’s got the green light. Not that he doesn’t have it, it’s just that he’s playing like he’s one of the other stars on the team. The confidence and aggressiveness to elevate his game to the next level was there tonight. He had a 4-point play in the second quarter, sinking a corner three on a kickout while Ball stepped under him and tweaking Reaves’ ankle a little. Thankfully, it didn’t seem to bad. He’d finish the half with 10 points on 3-5 shooting. He’d knock down three threes tonight. Late in the game, he’d slip a screen on the two-man game with Bron and score a layup to cut it to 2. He’d finish with 20 on 10 attempts. He’d miss a couple of FTs tonight, which isn’t a thing he does. We could have used those. Love some of the things he does to get to the line. One of those, he put Hayward in jail and set him up for an And-1 type of pull-up in the lane. We also could have used better execution on the break late in the game, but his teammates were also filling lanes weirdly and Reaves pass bounced off Bev’s hands for a key turnover.
The Stats: He scored 20 points on 6-10 shooting (3-6 from three, 5-7 from the line) to go with 2 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal, 3 turnovers and no fouls in 29 minutes. He was a +3. |

In 5 minutes with Brick he has only taken 1 shot while Brick has taken 5 and dominated the ball...
We are freezing our most efficient player .. a guy we should be investing in. |
Walker is better than Reaves
I think their next contracts are going to show that isn't true. Reaves gives you good reads on both sides of the ball, and is a far more well rounded player. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Hornacek's jumper was so pure & consistent. I gotta see Reaves shoot at least over the course of one more season before I can make that comp. |
